Just a very short update from me! (Read this post for my last health update: https://debbiescancerblog.wordpress.com/2018/09/01/update-4/)
I’ve just got back from a day at the hospital, and I thought this was the quickest and easiest way to share some welcome good news – I had another MRI scan last month and got the results of it today, and the tumour seems to have shrunk again! It’s not by as much as last time, but any shrinkage is good shrinkage, and it’s suggesting that things are on a trajectory in the right direction, after a long time which just seemed like one piece of bad news after another. This should also be a chemo week but it’s been postponed because my platelets are too low – this has happened before and I don’t think it’s something to worry about hugely, or anything I can do much about apart from wait and hope they improve.
We celebrated by going out for lunch after my appointment, and I’m now eating chocolate (which will doubtless come as no surprise!) – but it’s always nice to be able to share good news, especially when good things seem few and far between!
