Image description: my kittencat Arya in a blue laundry basket, looking up at the camera

I know I keep posting photos of her, but I make no apologies for this because she is adorable! Arya likes exploring and trying to be helpful (emphasis on the trying!) – she looks so adorable doing it that I just take a photo and make squealing noises! This photo was actually taken by my brother Dave, as he could get closer to get a better angle. Currently she’s outside, but she has lots of favourite places – my lap happens to be one of them!

Tuesday 19th February

Image description: photo from the film Carol (starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, pictured)

I watched Carol for the first time today – I read the book a few years ago but somehow didn’t go and see the film at the cinema, so it has been on my to-watch list since it came out. I hadn’t realised when I read the book when it was written, although the film is obviously a lot more recent. I really enjoyed it, and the quality of acting was almost up there with the quality of cheekbones. This may not sound like much of a compliment but I promise it is one – those cheekbones were amazing!

Yes, mostly I just take lots of photos of Arya…

Thursday 21st February

Image description: a screenshot from my phone of the Pointless game – it shows my ideal round, on ‘monks and nuns’!

Some of you will know that my mum and I were on Pointless for real last year – it was such a fun experience and I don’t think I disgraced myself too badly. In the last month or so, I’ve become pretty addicted to this app, and I couldn’t help but be very excited when this round came up! It’s probably cheating to use a screenshot instead of an actual photo but never mind!

Friday 22nd February

I didn’t take a photo on Friday but it was a good day – my mum was at General Synod, in London, so my dad, my brother and I went to the pub and the cinema. We saw Bohemian Rhapsody, which was much better than I expected it to be, and even made me appreciate and like ‘We are the Champions’!

Saturday 23rd February

Image description: cover of my current read, Frankenstein in Baghdad

I started this book yesterday evening and so far I’m really enjoying it – it’s on my lap at the moment ready for me to continue reading it once I’ve finished writing this blog post!

Sunday 24th February

Image description: a photo of the window in our sitting room, showing the sun shining through

This isn’t a very good photo but I wanted to show how beautiful outside looks – a better photo would probably have been taken if I’d actually gone outside but the effort/reward ratio felt like it was just tipped in favour of staying inside.
