Photo Challenge continued!
27 – Transportation
I can’t remember where we were going or when this was taken, but my bear Cuthbert was pretty insistent on driving us there!
28 – Action
This photo was taken in 2016 at the top of Ben Lomond, which I’d climbed as part of an interfaith group. It was hard, but there was such a sense of achievement making it to the top.
29 – Pink
This is probably quite a self-explanatory photo really – my hands are a weird shape and usually have bruises on, and they shake a lot, but I like this nail polish!
30 – Night
Here’s a photo with my friend Kirsty of one of my favourite nights as an undergrad! I clearly did not know how to wear a tie but I love this!
31 – Flowers
This isn’t a very good photo as I’ve just taken it from my chair, but the other day a woman from across the street popped across with flowers for mum, so we’ve put them in the window – they’re really gorgeous, especially in the sunlight.
32 – Animal
This is a photo of a peacock that I took at Skansen in Stockholm, an outdoor museum/zoo that I’d highly recommend to anyone who goes to the city!
33 – Photograph a stranger
I’m going to skip this one as I’m uncomfortable with taking photos of strangers
34 – Happiness
Graduating from my undergrad degree was a real highlight of my life so far, and I love how happy I look in this photo!
35 – Sunset
Like with sunrises, I don’t really take photos of sunsets because they never look as good in real life. I’m working up to try and paint one though!
36 – Fear
I don’t know why this is on my phone, but it’s a fairly terrifying image!
37 – Yellow
My brother’s girlfriend is a medical student, and she gave me this stress ball shaped like a brain!
38 – Light
I think this photo was taken in Norwich cathedral last year (although feel free to correct me if you recognise it and it’s somewhere else!) – I couldn’t quite get a photo that showed how lovely this candle holder was so this will have to do.
39 – Bokeh
I have to be honest and admit that I didn’t know what bokeh was when it appeared here. According to the internet, it is’the effect of a soft out-of-focus background that you get when shooting a subject, using a fast lens, at the widest aperture, such as f/2.8 or wider. Simply put, bokeh is the pleasing or aesthetic quality of out-of-focus blur in a photograph’
I hope this counts!
40 – Technology
At the beginning of lockdown, I got a Nintendo Switch – I think lots of people did! It’s very easy to use, although I haven’t made as much use of it as I’d intended.
41 – Something old
This is a photo of me and Nathan at Whitby Abbey about 20 years ago.
42 – Family
I’ve posted this many times before but this is one of my favourite photos with my brothers.
43 – Out of focus
It’s hard to take good photos at a zoo (although safety is probably more important!)
44 – Dark
Cheating a bit with this one (and sorry to anyone who is scared of clowns!) but here is a photo were it’s dark outside… I’m also dressed both like the clown and how I dress nowadays…
45 – Leading Lines
Apparently this is another specific photography term, although I can’t find a photo that fits this!
46 – Silhouette
47 – Purple
This is one of my favourite t-shirts – it’s from Lucy and Yak and while this isn’t a very good photo, the actual top is lovely.
48 – Abstract
It’s not really an abstract photo as such but my new ice dyed t-shirts and trousers arrived today!
49 – Reflection
50 – Smile
This is one of those rare photos of me with my brothers where we’re all smiling and looking adorable!
51 – Macro
A macro photograph is an extreme close up – can anyone guess what this is meant to be?
52 – Celebration
Here is a photo of the cake my mum made for my three year tumourversary – it’s shaped like a brain!
